Hi, I'm David.

I'm David Martin, a content and creative lead based in North Vancouver.
For the past eleven years I've worked at a 40-year Canadian IT firm, where I am now the company's entire content, brand and marketing function. I write and design more than 100 social posts a year, produce the company's video, create its sales and event materials, and designed the logo and colour system behind its rebuilt website. Before that, I led more than 30 public-sector bids, including a roughly 300-page response that won a 20-year contract.
Over the past two years I've also built the AI systems that make that volume of work possible. One turns a new RFP into a branded, 80 to 90 percent complete first draft in about 30 minutes. Another takes every company social post from draft through approval to publishing. I train colleagues on these tools, and I make short videos that help people work with AI more effectively.
Outside work, I run DJC Kids, an animation channel I built from scratch to more than 261 million views. I write the stories and lyrics, design the characters and animate them, first by hand and now with AI. I've also written and illustrated seven children's picture books.
I spent ten years in Japan, where I directed curriculum and teacher training for a group of language schools, and I still speak and write Japanese. My training is in engineering, which may be why my first instinct with any big job is to build a better way of doing it.
