A business owner scrolling LinkedIn gives your post about two seconds. Here are the rules I use to earn more than that.
One idea per post
If a post needs a paragraph of background before the real point lands, it's two posts. Cut the background and keep the point.
Open with something they recognise
Start with a moment the reader has lived. The 4:59 PM support ticket. The CFO's voice on a call that turns out to be fake. Recognition buys you the next line.
One sentence per line
Short lines are easy to read on a phone. Group related lines together and leave a blank line between ideas.
Turn it into a question
After the hook, ask the question your reader should be asking. Who patches the firewall? Could you prove it? The question does the selling.
End with one clear next step
Tell people what to do. Talk to us. Book an assessment. Read the article. One action, not three.
Match the graphic to the idea
The graphic should say the same one thing in a few words and a single strong image. If the picture and the post disagree, people remember neither.
